The West Coast Session: Back for # 7
What goes around comes around, and the West Coast Session at Mt. Hood, Oregon is coming around again on May 5-9 for its seventh straight year of celebrating skiing's new school in style.
The West Coast Session pushes the sport of skiing in the right direction by offering a group of the world's most capable young skiers, filmers and photographers a high-level, low-stress venue to display and develop their talents. Event hosts Timberline Ski Area and Windell's Camp provide the perfect setting for our undertaking: pristine terrain parks, exceptional off-hill facilities, and full support of our yearly effort to give skiing a kick in the seat of the pants.
In addition to the continuation and expansion of the wildly successful Session Showdown video contest presented by Camtrol and iON, WCS 2013 also features a brand-new photographers' contest presented by Buff. As always, you can expect nothing but the most captivating, progressive and entertaining images from our baker's dozen of camera aficionados, and as a rule all West Coast Session content is released for free online on our website thewestcoastsession.com and through international media partners. Thanks to the support of Buff, i.N.i., Auviq and Amplid, the West Coast Session will once again offer a smorgasbord of progressive features to challenge the invited crew.
The cult-classic West Coast Session public day takes place this year on Sunday, May 5, when Portland's best ski shop, Hillcrest Sports, helps us host a fun-filled jam session open to anyone who enjoys sliding around on snow. Come join us at Timberline for an unforgettable celebration of skiing including a free barbecue, giveaways and prizes, and the chance to spin some laps with old and new friends alike.
